We install all the major brands including Schlage Encode, Yale Assure, Kwikset Halo, Sifely, August, and Level, whether it’s a keypad lock, a fingerprint lock, or a retrofit that keeps your existing keys working. Haven’t picked one yet? Tell us what you want it to do and we’ll suggest a model that fits your door and your phone.
Old Engineer isn’t a big franchise with big franchise prices. We’re experienced, detail-oriented professionals who believe upgrading your locks shouldn’t cost a fortune. You get careful workmanship, straightforward pricing, and someone who takes the time to make sure the app actually works before leaving.
Please note: we replace locks on doors with an existing standard deadbolt bore. If your door needs new holes drilled, major repair, or a full door replacement, we’ll tell you upfront.
We provide electronic door lock installation in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Garner, Holly Springs, and surrounding Triangle communities.
Installation is quick and affordable, far less than a locksmith service call. Contact us with the lock model (or the one you’re considering) for a quick quote.
Most installations take 1.5 -2 hours including wifi setup, app connection, and programming your codes.

Yes. You can create codes that only work on certain days or times, then delete them when the visit is over, and the entry log shows you exactly when each code was used.

Most major models do. Tell us what you use and we’ll make sure the lock you choose plays nicely with it, and we’ll connect it during installation.
